Falling Object- What goes up must come down

As Sir Isaac Newton is believed to have once said “What goes up must come down”. Whether building material, tools, light fixtures, store stock, showerheads and even apples, people often come into contact with falling objects both big and small. As these objects fall, they accumulate momentum as a result of gravity and then release that momentum as they come into contact with anything in their path of travel resulting in a linear and rotational force as they do. At Quality Forensic Engineering, LLC our biomechanical engineers not only solve the complex physics of falling objects, but also the forces that would result on the body as these falling objects come into contact with individuals. Using well-established, scientifically proven techniques, these forces coupled with how they are applied can be used to assess injury risk and injury consistency for concussions, spinal trauma, and shoulder impacts, from falling object events.
